Bio

Sophia Bryter is a 21-year-old songwriter and musician from Baltimore. After joining her first audition-based band through music school and recording studio, Stages Music Arts, Bryter created a band under her own name with whom she would record an album of original music. The process of creating an album was life-changing for Bryter, not only due to the catharsis involved in the completion of a personal collection of music, but also due to the friendships made with the members of the band. The band features: guitarist, Morgan Gonce; bassist, Oliver Unger; and drummer, Andrew Young of band Ginger's Palace. Currently, Bryter has released her debut album of original music (moonchild) which is available on CD and streaming. In 2023, Bryter became a YoungArts finalist in singer/songwriter and was able to attend National YoungArts Week in Miami where she was mentored by industry professionals and collaborated with other YoungArts winners. This experience also led her to be scouted for the TV show American Idol in 2024. Most recently, Bryter was signed to Berklee’s student-run label, Revelation Records, and was able to release her latest single, “Beauty Is Pain.” Bryter just graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor's Degree in Contemporary Writing and Production.
